Road Construction Update: Beaverdam Crescent & Shoreline Drive
We’ve received an update from the Municipality of Lambton Shores regarding the ongoing road work on Beaverdam Crescent and Shoreline Drive.
Where things stand now
The base coat of pavement on both roads will be completed for the winter season. Driveways, crossroads, manholes, and valve areas will all be properly ramped to ensure safe access throughout the winter months.
What to expect next
Both roads are scheduled for final completion in spring 2026. While this extended timeline may feel like a delay, it actually leads to a stronger, longer-lasting result for our neighbourhood.
Why the wait benefits us
Allowing the roads to settle over the winter gives the municipality time to identify and address:
- Spots where water may pool (potential ponding)
- Soft sand areas that could otherwise become future potholes
- Any settling issues that need correcting before the final asphalt layer
This approach helps ensure that when the final coat is applied, it’s done in optimal temperatures for proper curing — resulting in a smoother, more durable road for years to come.
We sincerely thank everyone for their patience during this process.
Leaf Pickup Program
Leaf Pick-Up Guidelines
Spring Dates: April 15 – May 31
Fall Dates: October 15 to November 30
- Pile leaves close to the road, not on the road. Keep piles short – combine long rows into 2-3 piles per property.
- Do not pile the leaves around trees or 911 signs
- SPPA does not pick-up bush clean-out. If you rake leaves out of the bush, you must dispose of them yourself. Ensure your contractors are aware of this.
- Rake only from lawns, gardens, septic beds, and driveways.
- Please do your best to remove sticks and stones before piling leaves to protect our equipment.
- Never dump leaves or debris into the Old Ausable Channel. Doing so is harmful and against the law.
The community will be divided into 3-Zones:
Zone 1: Grand Oaks, Dogwood, Sumac, Beaver Dam Crescent & Court, Maplewood, Trillium, Live Oak
Zone 2: Shoreline, Brewster North & South, Christie, Pines Pkwy, Albert, Allison
Zone 3: Lakeview, Sherwood, Parkside, Woodpark, Havenpark, Riverside, Brookbank, Oakburn, Princess, William
During the Fall leaf collection, the property management team will be working off of a set schedule and each property will have a minimum of TWO (2) passes for collection. The first pass will be in October, the second will be in November. If needed, a third pass will be completed in December.
To have your leaves picked up, please put them at the front of your property before the required dates listed below.
✅ if your leaves ARE put out by that date, they will be picked up within 7 business days
🚩 if your leaves are NOT put out by that date, they will be picked up during the next pass.
**if the crew has passed your house, and leaves get put out afterwards – even if it is on the start date – they will be picked up on the second pass. So please ensure your leaves are out before the crew arrives.
