Board Update
The Board of Directors at SPPA is responsible for overseeing how the Association is run. This includes setting direction, managing risks, and making sure the Association is governed properly. The current Board has 11 SPPA members. It includes executive and signing officers, along with up to seven members-at-large. The Board meets once a month, and summaries of these meetings are shared on the SPPA website.
Recently, the Board has been focused on completing the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, titled Protecting Our Value – Enhancing Our Experience. The Board is also introducing a new budgeting process that brings committees and staff together to create the annual operating plan and budget. As we move into the final quarter of the fiscal year, this budgeting work will continue. In addition, the Board is beginning work on a formal Enterprise Risk Management system to ensure potential risks are identified and managed on an ongoing basis.
