A Fresh Look at Our Beaches: Introducing the Southcott Pines Beach Committee

Our long-standing “Security Committee” has evolved into the Southcott Pines Beach Committee (SPBC)—bringing fresh energy, a strategic focus, and new initiatives to our beloved beaches. The SPBC guides operations, safety, access, and resident experience, with particular attention to Sun Beach. Its mission includes protecting our shoreline, enhancing amenities, and supporting long-term plans.

This year, the SPBC will also hire SPPA Ambassadors—friendly, trained team members who serve as the welcoming presence on-site, help maintain safe and enjoyable beach access, provide resident support, and collect operational insights to shape the future of our beaches.

Exciting changes are underway! From improved signage and access systems to pilot amenities and enhanced Member Experience standards, the SPBC is working to make every visit to the beach seamless and enjoyable.
