Environmental Stewardship Committee Update
In cooperation with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority we have ordered 50 large stock trees to be planted on SPPA property in the Spring. The order includes potted White Cedar, Hemlock, Maple, Tulip and White Birch. These trees are common to our area and should adapt well to the varied soil and light conditions in Southcott Pines. Once we have delivery, probably April, we will get together a volunteer group to help with planting. Our hope is that we are able to establish trees where dead ash have been removed and continue to add more every year.
