Board of Directors Update – August 21, 2026

At its August meeting, the Board reviewed the first significant findings from this summer’s Beach and Laneway Access data. The early results are beginning to show when access activity is highest, how usage is distributed and where this year’s data-collection process needs improvement. No changes will be made to the program for the remainder of the season. Final data will be used to prepare a season-end assessment and recommendations for 2027.

The Board also launched a Strategic Systems Modernization Study, led by Director Remo Assini. The study will look beyond Condo Control to determine what SPPA actually needs from its membership, communications, financial, property-management, records and other administrative systems. No new system has been selected or authorized; recommendations will return to the Board before any material commitment is made.

The Board also reviewed the remaining capital plan and began contingency planning for financial and operating risks through the balance of the year.
