Beach Committee Update – June 26, 2026

Summer is in full swing, and our Beach Committee and Beach Ambassadors are looking forward to welcoming members and their guests throughout the season.

Canada Day Beach Access

Beach Ambassadors will be on duty on Canada Day until 10:00 p.m. to help ensure smooth access to Sun Beach and our beach access laneways. To help keep lines moving, please have your beach pass information ready before arriving.

Digital Beach Pass Program

Our new Digital Beach Pass Program is now in effect.

If you haven’t already done so:

Please refer to the June 1 email to create your password in the Condo Control system using the credentials provided.

Then refer to the June 4 email for step-by-step instructions on downloading the Condo Control app, locating your digital beach pass, and sharing it with your family members.

During this transition year, both digital and physical beach passes will be accepted.

Members may access Sun Beach and our beach access laneways using one of three options:

• Digital pass displayed on your phone (QR/barcode scan)
• Physical paper pass (available for pickup at the office)
• Your pass number (verbal confirmation is accepted)

Please note: Short-term rental properties must use the physical paper beach pass only. Digital passes are not accepted for rental properties.

Beach Ambassadors are now on duty seven days a week to welcome members, answer questions, and assist with beach access.

A Reminder About Respecting Private Property

Sun Beach and the Association’s beach access laneways are provided for the enjoyment of all Southcott Pines Property Owners Association members and their guests.

Members are reminded that not all shoreline within Southcott Pines is Association property. Portions of the beach are privately owned by individual homeowners, with some ownership extending to the water’s edge. These privately owned areas are not part of the Association’s beach system and should be respected.

If you are hosting family, friends, or renting your property, please ensure your guests understand the distinction between Association property and privately owned shoreline areas before heading to the beach. Your assistance helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures everyone can enjoy our beautiful waterfront respectfully.
