Social & Recreation Committee

The Social and Recreation Committee is all about bringing Southcott Pines together through fun, welcoming, and thoughtfully planned events that help build real connections across our community. Our goal is to create opportunities for neighbours to meet for the first time, strengthen existing friendships, and enjoy a great member experience year-round.

We do this by hosting a wide range of social, recreational, and family-friendly events, including live music nights, scotch and wine tastings, Oktoberfest, New Year’s Casino Night, Halloween and Christmas parties, off-site dinners supporting local businesses, euchre tournaments, beach games, and our popular summer beach party.

We also organize lighter, community-wide activities such as Easter egg hunts, scavenger hunts, and puzzle exchanges. Behind the scenes, our committee functions as party planners, event coordinators, project managers, set dressers, and servers, working closely with a fantastic group of community volunteers who help prepare and serve food and keep things running smoothly.

We’re proud to partner with Bruce Good, Southcott Pines’ Bar Coordinator, who manages the bar, recruits volunteer bartenders, and recently helped introduce debit/credit payments to make events even more convenient for members.

With events designed to appeal to all ages and interests, our committee is dedicated to creating memorable experiences that make Southcott Pines a vibrant, connected place to live.
